 WELCOME TO BASELINE2BASELINE

Baseline2baseline Programs are the world’s most effective programs for weight loss. Designed for children, teens, and young adults ages 11-24, students at our Programs demonstrate the best documented outcomes of any non-surgical weight loss intervention for any age group.

Baseline2baseline Programs (formerly Academy of the Sierras) employ a scientifically based, clinically proven approach to weight loss. Baseline2baseline promotes a healthy lifestyle through a low-fat diet program, activity management, and comprehensive cognitive-behavioral therapy. At our campuses in California and the Carolinas, Baseline2baseline Programs have helped hundreds of students combat childhood obesity by transforming their bodies and lives.

Baseline2baseline Programs are residential treatment schools for overweight teens and young adults. Students reside on campus and change their lifestyle, while continuing their middle school, high school, or college education. While Baseline2baseline is a clinically-proven program, it is important to understand what Baseline2baseline Programs

Tuition

Tuition at Baseline2baseline is $6,250 per month. Tuition covers the entire program, including diet management, activity management, behavioral, residential and academic.

The minimum length of enrollment is 4 months. Students typically enroll for 1-2 semesters (4-9 months).

·         Baseline2baseline Programs are not fat camps. Studies show that fat camps, or weight loss camps, lead to short-term weight loss, but in the long run, the vast majority of students regain weight or gain even more weight than before attending the weight loss camp. Baseline2baseline trains students to transform their bodies through teen diet, activity, and behavioral change, so they become long-term weight controllers.

Baseline2baseline is not obesity surgery or bariatric surgery. For many, the idea of their child undergoing an expensive, intensive, and elective surgical intervention is frightening. Baseline2baseline Programs provide more than children and teen weight loss results; cognitive-behavioral therapy and the immersion environment help change the way students think about diet and activity. At Baseline2baseline, students receive comprehensive training and learn vital frustration tolerance and stress management skills that help improve their self-esteem and confidence, too
We work hard with each family to ensure their son or daughter can partake in the transformative experience that Baseline2baseline provides. In many cases, nearly 25% of monthly tuition fees will be reimbursed by a family’s health insurance provider. We also work with an independent loan organization to help families gain loan assistance. Finally, recent tax law changes may enable families to claim some portion of tuition expense as a tax deduction. To learn more about all of these options

Baseline2baseline students are at least 30 lbs. overweight and have been struggling with their weight for at least two years.
Beyond this, no two Baseline2baseline students are exactly alike. Many exhibit signs of low self-esteem. Some have been diagnosed with depression or other issues. Some appear as though their weight doesn’t bother them at all, although it’s obvious that returning to a normal weight range would be transformative.

Most are behind academically, although a number of Baseline2baseline students are excelling academically but are unsuccessful at balancing academics with other areas of their lives.

At Baseline2baseline Programs, we work hard to deliver programs that meet the needs of our applicants. With Programs designed for children and young adults ages 11 – 24 available on both coasts, we offer weight loss programs to serve every student.

Baseline2baseline Academy offers a traditional boarding school environment, serving young men and women, ages 13 – 24 in grades 8 through college.

Nutrition program  Baseline2baseline Programs’ unique nutrition training program was developed by Baseline2baseline professionals to focus on what is absolutely critical for weight loss and long-term weight control. Research clearly demonstrates that overweight children and young adults do not respond to reviewing the “food pyramid” or learning the importance of moderation.
Taking advantage of, Baseline2baseline Academy of the Carolinas,  offers an experiential learning environment for ages 11 – 17 in grades 6 through 11.

Applications are accepted throughout the year for regular start dates at each Baseline2baseline campus.

Criteria for enrollment at all Baseline2baseline campuses are:
• At least 30 lbs. overweight
• Struggling with weight for at least two years.
• No medical issues requiring full-time hospitalization or nursing care.
