Complete Skills basketball camps are our standard and most popular
basketball camps. We've been hosting Complete Skills Training Camps
since 1971. Over 50,000 athletes have attended for the last three years.
Our coaches emphasize solid fundamental basketball skills taught using
the latest cutting edge techniques. We design exciting live-action
drills to maximize training and keep athletes challenged.
About Complete Skills
Camps
Complete Skills Basketball Camps provide
a perfect opportunity for players to improve in all areas of the game.
This camp is beneficial for beginners as well as advanced players.
Campers are divided into leagues based on both age and skill level.
In addition to
individual skills training, we start the week teaching fundamentals
related to 3-on-3 basketball. This helps break the game down and makes
team basketball easy to learn for the younger athlete and allows greater
opportunity to put new skills in a live environment for all ability
levels. It also allows every player the opportunity to touch the ball
more regularly during competition allowing the strong player great
leadership training and the weaker player the ability to get better.
Throughout the week we progress into 5-on-5 play and typically finish
the week with a 4-6 team tournament. |
Control Ball
Take care of the basketball is our first rule. This is the first and
foremost skill to develop in building successful athletes and teams.
Former two-time NCAA Championship and Olympic coach, Hank Iba said, “You
never know when you will face defensive pressure, but be prepared at all
times to take care of the ball.” Our curriculum is designed to teach
athletes to develop confidence to handle the ball under pressure.
Through intentional practice of specific skills, athletes will learn to
take care of the ball.

Part of the difference at
BASELINE2BASELINE Camps includes a five day camp experience including
detailed curriculum training from ball handling, to pure defense, pure
shooting, pure offense and pure team skills.
Our camps are demanding and not similar
to other camp experiences. The difference is our basketball intensity,
expectation on and off the court for excellence, leadership and sports
training currriculum. We believe training the mind to compete is crucial
to becoming a great athlete. We believe sitting and watching the staff
play is not as valuable as learning the skills yourself. If you want to
sit and watch basketball, if you want limited supervision, if you want a
baby sitting camp, you need to pick a different program. But if you want
to really get better at the game of basketball we are going to make you
better. |
Play With Intention
We want athletes to play with quickness and great intensity. The “want
to" is always more important than the “how to.” If you don’t play hard,
there will be little reason to play smart. There is no excuse for not
playing as quickly as one’s skill permits and as hard or intense as is
physically possible. To do less than this is to cheat your teammates
and to cheat yourself. BASELINE2BASELINE Camps promotes intensity and
hard work through modeling and environment. Our coaches demonstrate the
standard of intensity we believe necessary for excellence. |

This camp is specifically designed for players who have at
least three years of playing experience and are seeking mastery
offensively and defensively during the off-season. It is highly

Play Smart
Play smart means making good decisions. There are three critical
questions each player must
ask when he or she steps on the court. Am I bigger, quicker or stronger
than my opponent?
We teach athletes to play to their strengths, understand their
weaknesses and work to improve
them. We train athletes to create, not just react.

What is the
difference between All-Star and Complete Skills?
Unlike our Complete Skills Camps, the all-star instructional model
focuses on specific positions (point guard, post, power forward and
guard/wing). Teaching is faster-paced, more advanced, and incorporates
more live-action, competitive drills. Afternoons are spent playing games
with an emphasis on 5-on-5. The All-star camp also features the
following tournaments: 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4, 5-on-5 season,
5-on-5 challenge, 5-on-5 situations. That's right, seven tournaments
plus games, plus instruction time, plus fun.
Who can attend Girls
Elite Camp?
Elite camp is open to athletes 12 years-old and older who have a
minimum of three years of playing experience. Athletes who have
previously played at the varsity level or anticipate being on varsity
the upcoming season, are highly encouraged to attend. No invitation is
required; however coaches may recommend players to attend.
What’s the difference
between Elite and All-Star?
All-Star Camp is invitation only and Elite camp is not restricted
to an invite. Elite camp is one day longer (six) compared to All-Star
which is five days. Elite Camp total enrollment will be limited to
ensure optimal player development and provide strategic opportunities to
play with and against other high-caliber athletes.

Finish Strong
We train athletes to finish the play with excellence. It does little
good to dribble 75 feet with incredible skill only to miss the shot.
The object is to score baskets and prevent the opponents form scoring
baskets. Players must finish the dribble with a two-foot stop, land in
triple-threat, and never quit until the play is completed. Players must
block out following every shot, and must follow the shots that they
take. These are just a few of the many times a player will be required
to “finish the play.” This is an essential basketball skill. It is
always too soon to quit.
